Volkswagen Reports Excellent October Sales Results

At the beginning of this month, Volkswagen of America, Inc. announced that the company sold 27,732 vehicles in the United States during October, marking a 11.9 percent sales improvement over results for October of 2016. So far in 2017, Volkswagen has realized a sales increase of 9.4 percent over last year on 280,188 vehicles sold in America.

Volkswagen is refocusing its vehicle roster to provide more family-friendly SUVs, a wise choice based on October sales trends. SUVs represented more than 32 percent of the company's sales for the month, as the Chattanooga, TN-built Atlas accounted for 3,664 sales and the 2018 Tiguan saw 3,848 vehicles delivered.

The Jetta wagon delivered an impressive 14.2 percent sales jump over last October on 9,217 vehicles sold, which resulted in its best October performance in three years.

The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan was just named an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) 2017 Top Safety Pick, and -- as we've previously detailed -- also was named "Best Compact SUV of 2017" by

The Atlas was granted a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) -- along with the Jetta, Passat, Jetta GLI and Golf family of vehicles -- and also earned a 2017 IIHS Top Safety Pick rating.

At Volkswagen of Beaumont, we're proud to serve Volkswagen fans from throughout the Beaumont, Port Arthur, Nederland and Houston areas.
